We all want our dogs to have healthy, nutritious treats and meals.

Here are several homemade dog treat recipes that are fast and easy to make, including ones that use a Kong.

Banana, Peanut Butter Frozen Mash Kong

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mash the banana up
  2. Combine all of the ingredients into a bowl and whisk together
  3. Pour mixture into Kong or and ice cube tray
  4. Freeze for at least 3 hours

Peanut Butter Apple Kong

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tablespoon Active Dawg Peanut Butter Powder
  • 1/4 Cup water
  • 1 Apple sliced into chunks
  • A small handful of dry kibble

Directions:

  1. Mix the water and Active Dawg Peanut Butter powder
  2. Slice the apple into small chunks small enough to fit easily in the hole in the Kong
  3. Place the apple chunks and dry kibble into the mixed Active Dawg Peanut Butter Powder
  4. Mix to coat all of the apple chunks and kibble with peanut butter
  5. Fill the Kong with the mixed apple chunks and coated kibble
  6. Freeze for at least 2 hours

Chicken Bone Broth Kibble Kong

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soak kibble in Active Dawg Chicken Bone Broth for 5 minutes.
  2. Fill the Kong with the mix
  3. Freeze for 2 hours

Banana, Apple, Peanut Butter Kong

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mash the banana
  2. Add the mashed banana, unsweetened applesauce, oatmeal, Active Dawg peanut butter powder, and plain yogurt in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Freeze for  2 hours

Banana, Cheese, Peanut Butter Kong

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mash the banana in a bowl
  2. Break up the slice of cheese into small bite size pieces
  3. Combine the banana, the Active Dawg peanut butter powder and  cheese pieces in a bowl.
  4. Mix until blended well.
  5. Fill the Kong and freeze.

Frozen Peanut Butter Kibble Kong

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Fill a Kong toy 1/3rd full of kibble.
  2. Mix Active Dawg Peanut Butter Powder with water (see the amount of Active Dawg Peanut Butter Powder to use per dog weight on the product page).
  3. Add more dry kibble
  4. Add more mixed (with water) Active Dawg Peanut Butter until the Kong toy is full.
  5. Freeze until solid.

Chicken Bone Broth Crunch and Munch

Ingredients:

  1. Crumble the rice cakes in a bowl
  2. Mix the Active Dawg Chicken Bone broth with water
  3. Combine crumbled rice cakes, mixed chicken bone broth and yogurt
  4. Fill the Kong and either enjoy immediately or freeze until solid
